Electric Sheep

You may not realize this, but if you struggle to get to sleep at night, it might be all to do with the tech in your room. You see, technology produces electromagnetic energy. All tech does this from your mobile phone to your computer and research has shown that it disrupts sleeping patterns. Even if you fall asleep, electromagnetic energy can stop you reaching REM, the deepest level of sleep.

This means you’ll be resting kind of like a dog. 90 percent of the time when dogs sleep they are still semi-aware of their surroundings, allowing them to protect themselves. The downside of this is that their body isn’t getting enough rest. As such, dogs have to sleep a lot more than humans do and can spend up to seventy percent of the day in some form of sleepy limbo.

Humans on the other hand only sleep for eight hours on average a night. As such, it’s important that we do fall into a deep sleep. So, you might want to think about removing the electric devices from your room and seeing if it impacts your sleeping pattern. You might be surprised.

Hard As A Rock

Do you ever lie down in your bed and feel like it’s as hard as a rock. This could be one of two problems. It might be an issue with your sinuses, ensuring that it feels like you’re lying on a brick. Or, it could be due to your mattress and your pillow. We all like to sleep on different types of mattresses. Some prefer the hard variety that provide could back support. Others like the mattresses that make you feel like you’re sleeping on a marshmallow. It all depends on your personal preference.

Getting the right amount of sleep each night will almost always be determined by whether or not you are sleeping on the right mattress. Luckily, companies such as John Ryan by Design provide all the options, and you can even purchase a luxury bed. That way, you can guarantee, you’re getting the perfect place to rest your head.

You Gotta Work It Out

Or finally, you might be having trouble sleeping because you’re not doing enough through the day. People who spend most of the day inactive often struggle to get the sleep they need because their body is still raring to go. As such, you may want to think about completing half an hour to forty minutes of exercise before you climb into bed. That way, you can give your body the workout it needs and ensure it’s ready for a good old rest.
