Romantic Capri

Romantic Capri

Italy is one of the most romantic cities in the world, and no matter where you visit you’ll be able to enjoy amazing architecture, great food and wonderful hospitality. Experiencing millions of visitors every year, one of the best places to holiday in Italy is Capri, a small but stunning paradise with a lovely charm and friendly locals. Located just off the coast of Italy, it offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and if you’re looking for a little peace and quiet on your holiday, then there’s nowhere better to book this year.

Capri has managed to keep its traditional elements whilst not allowing the commercial wave to intrude on its shores, unlike many other Italian cities. With so many celebrities choosing to holiday here, it might seem like you’re camping out on Hollywood’s red carpet, however there’s nothing overly flashy about this wonderful island, other than its superb architecture. The island may be small, but it keeps up with other Italian hotspots in terms of what it can offer tourists. If you love historical sites, golden beaches, great weather and even better food, then Capri is the place to holiday this summer.

Villa San Michele

This museum is the standout icon in Anacapri, and it is sure to take your breath away no matter how many times you visit. Not only does it offer a view of the crystal clear ocean like no other, but the museum houses some of the most ancient Mediterranean and Egyptian artefacts in Italy. Make sure you get there early however, as it can get extremely busy during peak tourist times.

Grotta Azzurra

Blue Grotto is one of the most beautiful caves in the world, and also Capri’s most famous attraction. No matter where you stand, it’s impossible to take a bad photo of the amazing rock formations and crystal clear waters, and because the atmosphere is so relaxing, you’re going to find it hard to leave! Just a short drive away, you’ll be able to find another great landmark, Punta Carena – the island’s historical lighthouse. Built in 1867, this structure is a joy to behold, and the view from the base out onto the sea is well worth a picture. Charter House of St. Giacomo

This is a perfect day out for couples if you’re looking for a romantic retreat, and built in 1371, the Charter House of St. Giacomo is a magnificent structure. Countless days are spent lazing away here by tourists, and it’s also a great place to have a stroll, as the gardens are simply beautiful. Another great place to spend the day with your loved one is La Migliera. Continuously voted as the best place to watch the sun go down in Capri, La Migliera offers spectacular views of the coastline, as well as lush surrounding landscape. With traditional cafés and restaurants just a short walk away too, you can even enjoy a light bite to eat.
